Anton & Nobre LGF: Focus and Balance in the Rhythm of Working Equitation

Nobre LGF is an 8-year-old Lusitano gelding – a horse full of passion and emotion who, together with Anton, represents the highest level of Working Equitation in Sweden. Although Nobre impresses with his skills and presence, his sensitivity required special support – especially during competitions in new environments and after long journeys. Nobre is an 8-year-old Lusitano gelding, a horse full of emotion, sensitivity, and an impressive presence in the competition arena.

Since 2023, he has been with me in Sweden, coming directly from Portugal. From the very first ride, he showed incredible passion and feeling, but also great sensitivity under saddle, a horse that makes you think about every step and every aid as a rider.

We compete in Working Equitation at the national level, with our main goal being to represent Sweden internationally in 2026 at the World Championships in Jerez in September. Nobre has already achieved great success, including wins in the Master Class of Working Equitation, and his lowest result so far in that class is second place. He also qualified, in his very first competition season, for the Working Equitation Cup at the Sweden International Horse Show, an event open only to the top five Working Equitation pairs in the country.

In daily life, Nobre is a calm horse, easy to handle in the stable, when being washed, or with the farrier. Under saddle, however, things were sometimes different. He’s a horse that needs confidence and reassurance, especially when traveling to new places or working under pressure. Getting him to relax and perform right from the first warm-up at a new competition was often a challenge. Nobre can show signs of stress when traveling: crib-biting, restlessness, or loss of appetite.
