In the 90 cm showjumping rounds, “Bubiś” shined: clear rounds, great energy, no issues with motivation. That’s why June 2025 felt like a bucket of cold water. The 11-year-old Polish Pony stallion, raised by his owner since he was 2.5 years old, suddenly began to struggle for breath. A vet visit, BAL test, and results – RAO (Recurrent Airway Obstruction / equine asthma) confirmed. Overnight, priorities shifted: instead of planning the next competitions, the focus turned to fighting for calm breathing and a safe return to work.

A full management plan was introduced – soaked hay, inhalations, steroids. At the same time, the owner looked for support that could help manage the sudden flare-ups of symptoms – one day no cough, the next a sudden worsening. On her nutritionist’s recommendation, she decided to try Hempqualizer+. First a test with one borrowed tube from the stable, then regular use – with visible improvement, the ability to wean off steroids, and faster relief from breathing attacks when combined with inhalations. In June, we were supposed to have our weekly training with our coach. I went to get him from the pasture, and he was standing there struggling to breathe. Of course, the vet was called immediately – steroids were given, prescriptions issued, BAL performed, and we waited for the results. The outcome came back: RAO confirmed. I started looking for help and solutions. Fortunately, I’m surrounded by wonderful people who immediately wanted to support us. Our nutritionist mentioned Hempqualizer+ right away. A friend from the stable offered me a test from her tube. I saw improvement. I bought two tubes myself (I’m now down to the last bit of the second one) – we were able to come off steroids.

Bubiś doesn’t have a constant cough – it’s episodic. One day he’s symptom-free, the next day he worsens – I immediately reach for Hempqualizer+ and the inhaler. The attacks subside, and Bubiś clearly improves.

I’ve also noticed an additional benefit – better movement. In October 2024, we diagnosed a partial absence of the splint bone in his right hind leg. The bone didn’t develop properly; it doesn’t cause lameness, but when his muscles are tired, there used to be a slight irregularity.

As a stallion, Bubiś tended to get worked up – since using Hempqualizer+, he’s much calmer.
